James Landino is an internationally recognized video game/anime composer and DJ based out of Tokyo, Japan and Los Angeles, CA. His influences of Japanese media and electronic music bridge cultural gaps, amassing millions of plays across multiple platforms.
He has worked on projects such as: LOVE LIVE!, THE IDOLM@STER, NO STRAIGHT ROADS, along with other projects including OMEGA STRIKERS, FORTNITE, TOWER OF GOD, ROBLOX, CHUNITHM, OSU!, RWBY , CYTUS II, SCREAMER, and PUBG MOBILE.
Once an audio developer from the makers of ROCK BAND, James is a fulltime composer and director of his audio production company, RARE DROP . His notable clients and musical collaborations include: SEGA, EPIC GAMES, BANDAI NAMCO, MONSTERCAT, SONY, CRUNCHYROLL, TENCENT, STUDIO TRIGGER, HOLOLIVE and ARC SYSTEM WORKS.
As an international performer, he has shared the stage with renowned acts such as: M-FLO, LISA, TEDDYLOID, YAMA, MOESHOP , DENZEL CURRY , and DEMONDICE, and releasing official remixes of internationally recognized artists such as KUMI KODA, FLOW and TOKYO MACHINE. In 2025 He co-founded ASAHI CREW, a music label and live event series focused on the celebration and inspirations of Japanese dance music culture.
