What is Virtual Village?
Virtual Village, or V Mura for short, is a space at AWA where you can stop and talk with your favorite vtuber guests! Vtubers have become a popular part of Japanese pop culture and we want to embrace that part too!
What is a Vtuber?
Vtubers are virtual YouTubers. They are a real person who uses a virtual avatar. Real-time motion capture software and computer graphics are often used to capture real life movement and then relayed on the screen as a virtual avatar.
What do they do?
A lot of things! Most create original content like performing songs, gaming, chatting with viewers, vlogging, and other things. All Vtubers coming to AWA will be participating in panels or hosting Meet & Greets, so there are plenty of ways to learn about and interact with these talented individuals.
Where is it located?
VMura is located in the front of Ex Hall (C2) and free to attend with an AWA Badge.
Who is coming?
If you are a vtuber and are interested in being a part of AWA, stay tuned! We’ll be posting applications soon!
