Every year, Anime Weekend Atlanta is proud to host some of the top trend setters in Japanese Fashion. Featured Fashion Events include panels with designers, the annual AWA Fashion Show, and an elegant Tea Party where you can interact with designers and brand representatives.

Anime Weekend Atlanta Fashion Show


The Anime Weekend Atlanta Fashion Show for 2017 will be held on Saturday of the convention and feature the latest designs from BABY, the Stars Shine Bright, ALICE and the PIRATES, gouk, and local brand 50%Dangerous! The fashion show is included in your membership; no additional ticket is needed to attend!

Join the Show!

The fashion show always features local models, make-up artists, and hair stylists. If you would like to join the fun, you will need a membership that covers Saturday. You will need to bring your own wig for show use. Natural hair will be permitted on a case by case basis. You will have to provide your own food, so please plan accordingly. We expect you to act in a professional manner with our guests, crew, other models and attendees.

We may drop selected models at any time for misconduct. In order to participate, you will need to be available on the following time/days:

  • Thursday, September 28 (8:00 -9:30 PM) – Model fittings
  • Saturday, September 29  (7:00 AM – 2:00 PM) – Model call, rehearsal, fashion show

Selected models will be contacted via email to confirm participation in the fashion show after the applications have closed. Please reply within 24 hours or you may forfeit your participation.

Anime Weekend Atlanta Tea Party

Anime Weekend Atlanta, ALICE and the PIRATES, and Baby, the Stars Shine Bright are excited to announce this year’s formal J-Fashion tea party. The theme of the tea party will be Pirates, to match the theme of the convention this year. The special guests this year will be ALICE and the PIRATES Harajuku Laforet store manager Kurumi and BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT/ALICE and the PIRATES Ikebukuro shop staff Mayu. The brand will also be providing a novelty for all tea party guests.

The Pirates Tea Party will take place on Sunday afternoon and will be a separate ticketed event. Tickets for the tea party are $60 and will include food and drink, a raffle, photo ops, socializing with the guests of honor and more. Tickets must be purchased prior to the convention and are extremely limited.

Dress code: attendees are requested to wear one item from BABY or PIRATES in their coordinate. Cosplay of any kind or casual wear will not be permitted.
